My Dear Buwa Saheb
As I am now leaving Kolhapur, i should like to send you a line to say a word about your services with H.H. the Rajah. During the five years His highness has been under my charge, you have been continuousely present with him, at Dharwad, at Kolhapur, and during our tours in India and Ceylon, in the capacity of Mankari, and owing to your uprightness, purity of life and exapmple, and mainly simplicity, I have always felt that I should entrust the young Maharajah and his brother with confidence to your companionship. As a first-rate sportsman, whether in saddle, with gun or rifle, your presence has been particularly valuable, as when unable to accompany the boys myself, I felt I would always leave them safely to your care. We have had many pleasent days sport together and I hope we may have more hereafter, and in bidding you good-bye now I can assure you of my best wishes for your future propsperity.
Yours sincerely,
S.M.Fraser
